The boys had their Blue and Gold Banquet last Sunday and the boys both earned their next rank. Nathaniel earned his Webelos Badge and Connor his Tiger Badge. The boys made an American cake for the Cake Decorating Contest. I think it turned out very well. They tied with several others for 5th place! It was a fun night for them!
Now we are on to working on our Pinewood Derby cars. We started making ours today. I saw WE because we all are making cars this year. Yes, that is right - all of us! Kiera has hers all cut out and is working on sanding and painting it. She wants it to be sparkly! As you can imagine it is a pair of very cool shades with sparkles - just like Fancy Nancy! I am making a Hippo... of course! Dad (arrow of ligh?), Meg (and Irish Dance Shoe), Nate (a birthday cake- since the Pinewood Derby is on his birthday this year) and Connor (a Wii remote). I will have to take some photos of them - so you can see all of the work that they put into them. It is something else!
We sure enjoy Cub Scouts and are looking forward to all of the camping we are going to be doing this summer! That is where the fun really is!
